Minnesota Trunk Highway 149
KLJ transformed a traditional mill and overlay project for a 6.5-mile segment of Trunk Highway 149 and transformed it using a Complete Streets approach complete with ADA-compliant features. Our team incorporated traffic calming measures and implemented enhanced features for pedestrians and bicyclists, making travel along the corridor safer and more effective for all users.
US Highway 85 Reconstruction
Regional energy developments have increased the traffic, specifically truck traffic along the US Highway 85 corridor from between Watford City and Williston, ND. The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) hired KLJ to reconstruct the two-lane highway into a four-lane undivided highway.
Watford City Bypasses
KLJ constructed the Watford City Bypasses to improve traffic and the quality of life for citizens in western North Dakota.
Como Regional Park Transportation Improvements
KLJ worked with the City of Saint Paul on a transportation, site improvement and pedestrian circulation project that expanded parking lots and improved traffic flow of pedestrians and vehicles.
Dickinson Comprehensive Transportation Plan
KLJ collaborated with the city, stakeholders and the public on a vision statement for the City of Dickinson to develop goals, objectives and strategies to meet the needs of residents.
A US 93 bypass around the west side of Kalispell Montana reached fruition in 2016 with the completion of the final segment and largest road construction project ever completed by the Montana Department of Transportation (MDT). KLJ provided professional services from 2003 to 2016 for 13 separate construction projects for this combined $100 million infrastructure project.
