KLJ Promotes Dzioba to VP of Construction Management Services and Hires Powalish as Project Management and Project Controls Group Manager

KLJ Engineering (KLJ) is pleased to announce the promotion of Ben Dzioba to vice president of the company’s Construction Management Services department. 

Dzioba joined KLJ in 2020 as market manager, overseeing alternative delivery and contractor services. In his new role, he will lead a team dedicated to construction resources that span multiple engineering disciplines specifically construction engineering, program management/project controls (PMPC), contractor services, and alternative delivery. 

Dzioba earned a bachelor’s degree in civil and environmental engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is a Professional Engineer in Minnesota, Texas, and Wisconsin. He is also a registered Project Management Professional (PMP) and Design-Build Professional (DBIA), which recognizes his extensive knowledge of risk, cost, schedule, resource, scope, and communication management, and his ability to effectively implement these processes in multiple project delivery methodologies. 

Dzioba’s experience includes roadway design, critical path method scheduling, change documentation, environmental compliance, public information coordination, and construction management. 

Additionally, KLJ is pleased to welcome Mark Powalish to its Englewood, Colorado office in the Construction Management Services department. He will serve as the project management and project controls group manager.

Powalish is an accomplished project controls professional with more than 16 years of experience in Earned Value Management (EVM), Critical Path Method (CPM), planning and scheduling, cost control, forecasting, contract management, risk management, change management, advanced reporting, data analytics, claims, and program management. He is also a certified planning and scheduling professional (PSP).

Powalish earned a bachelor’s degree in construction management from Minnesota State University, Mankato in Mankato, Minnesota.
