Nationally Significant Federal Lands and Tribal Transportation Projects Grants (NSFLTP)

The United States Department of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration has released notice of funding for the construction, reconstruction, and rehabilitation of nationally-significant projects within, adjacent to, or accessing Federal and Tribal lands. Eligible projects include:

  • Public highway, road, bridge, tail, or transit system on or adjacent to Federal lands for which maintenance responsibility is that of the federal government
  • Public highway, road, bridge, trail, or transit system on, adjacent to, or providing access to Federal lands for which maintenance responsibility is that of the state, county, town, township, Tribal, Municipal, or local government
  • Tribal Transportation Facilities

Eligible Applicants: Tribes, Federal Land Management Agencies (FLMA), and, if sponsored by a Tribe or FLMA, states, local governments, transit agencies, port authorities, Metropolitan Planning Organizations, and other political subdivisions of state or local governments

Award Floor/Ceiling: Projects must be at least $25 million, with projects exceeding $50 million receiving priority consideration

Match: 10 percent (cannot be TTP funds, but can be in-kind); preference will be given to projects with over 30 percent match

Deadline: December 17, 2018, with subsequent quarterly deadlines of March 29, 2019 and June 28, 2019.
