Project
The city of Bismarck is expanding, and in need of a facility that provides short-term rehabilitation, assisted living, and long-term care for patients in and around the Bismarck area.
Solution
The project included site design for a 72-bed, 55,000 square foot skilled care facility on a 10-acre rolling site in northwest Bismarck. Specific facility design elements included a phased site development master plan for a multi-building campus style layout, a pollution prevention plan and design of site pedestrian and vehicular circulation, parking lots, drop-off area and service area access. KLJ completed site grading, drainage, and erosion control as well as all site utility design (water and sanitary sewer) and storm water management. Finally, KLJ provided landscape architecture including native prairie seeding, stone retaining walls, and landscape bufferyards.
In 2016, we also completed the site survey, site layout, grading, and utility design on a 103,000-square foot expansion to their existing facility in north Bismarck.
Results
St. Gabriel’s community is known in the community as the place to go for short-term rehabilitation. The neighborhood style of care provides citizens of Bismarck and the surrounding area an environment they can be comfortable in and that offers all the amenities of home.
