Minot Baseball Complex
Minot, ND
KL&J was approached by a group of individuals with an idea of a regional baseball complex. After establishing a thorough understanding of the group’s needs, KL&J created a concept through public input meetings and a collaborative design effort. This concept involved creating a facility that maximizes playability, pedestrian safety, and stewardship of existing park green space. The proposed project location utilized an existing portion of city park land adjacent to the Souris River that was open for development.

Construction began in the spring of 2007 and through a series of donations from construction professionals; phased construction will be operational in the spring of 2009. The project includes two Babe Ruth baseball fields with an under drain system, two Cal Ripken Competition fields with an under drain system, a pedestrian plaza with bleacher seating, two batting cages, two bull pens, facility storm water management, four parking lots, two dropoffs, water service, sanitary sewer service, roadway construction and a pedestrian trail connecting the existing city trails.
